Bringing EMSEA closer to you - our blog!
Who is EMSEA and who are its members?
In our 2-weekly blog, we’ll present to you both the EMSEA Advisory Group and our members.
The EMSEA Advisory Group’s role is to work closely with the EMSEA Legal Board, Managing Director, and staff to advance the organization's mission, as outlined in its governing documents. Group members offer their skills, time, and capacity to:
- Ensure that EMSEA fulfills its strategic goals and targets, contributing to the organization's growth and impact.
- Actively promoting EMSEA within the broader European and global ocean literacy community, enhancing its visibility and engagement.
- Participating in EMSEA working groups, regional initiatives, and events, leveraging their capacities to actively contribute to the organization's goals and strategies.
Advisory Group members will be introduced with a short bio on each. We kick off with Mariana Almeida, a marine biologist from Portugal.
The EMSEA members will be presented with an in-depth article in which you’ll get to know what drives them and what inspires them. They’ll share their experience, their good practices, their challenges. They’ll talk about what ocean literacy means to them and how they hope to reach it. From Lebanon and the US to Spain, Portugal, Greece, the UK, and beyond: our members are dying to meet you. We’re proud to be starting the series with Laura Khatib, both EMSEA-member and part of our Advisory Group.
Welcome to our blog!
