Meet our Advisory Group: Chris P. Nwachukwu

A valued member of our advisory group, Nwachukwu P. Chris is a leader in the field of environmental advocacy and ocean conservation. Chris is the founder and convener of the Green Promise Initiative Organization (GPI) in Nigeria and also serves as an ocean literacy educator and capacity development coordinator at the UN Ocean Decade Endorsed Early Career Ocean Professional (ECOP) Africa Node. This role allows him to bring his passion for nature and conservation to the forefront, by educating and empowering the next generation of ocean professionals, and creating opportunities for them to make a positive impact on the health of the ocean and the communities that depend on it.

Chris utilizes his skills and expertise in community mobilization and capacity building to create engaging and effective ocean education programs for young people, and to support early career ocean professionals in developing their skills and knowledge. He is also actively involved in promoting ocean literacy and raising awareness of the importance of ocean conservation among the general public.
