Eliane is an Education Researcher at the University of Bath (UK) interested in understanding the ways in which ongoing learning about the ocean in a formal setting changes children’s ocean literacy, in particular, the way they perceive their relationship with and their understanding of the ocean. Eliane is driven by a resolve to help others understand and share her love of the planet and all things alive and has over 12 years’ experience of working and volunteering in sciences research and education in the UK and Portugal, encouraging people from all walks of life to better understand and engage with the marine environment, and working with partners across the UK and beyond to accelerate ocean literacy in society.
